日本語って難しい…
Ever consider picking up a second language? Koh found this interesting map from the Foreign Service Institute. It shows how long it takes for an English speaker to become proficient in different foreign languages. Countries in dark green are probably similar to English and you can become fairly proficient in their language in just 24 weeks, studying 5 days a week, 5 hours a day, about 600 hours. You’ll see that Japanese in dark purple, is a country that will require more than 88 weeks to ever achieve general proficiency. It looks to be the most difficult country on the map for English speakers to master their language. Japanese is muzukashii (difficult)!
