ケニー＆ジギーズ・ニューヨーク・デリカテッセン
If you’ve ever been to New York, you’ll know that they have incredible sandwiches! Here in Houston we have a NY style deli in the Galleria area and it is called Kenny and Ziggy’s. You’ll be surprised to see their enormous menu (it is physically very large!) with a huge list of different kinds of sandwiches, salads, and even plated lunches and entrées. The back wall has a full section of desserts ranging from homemade cookies to pies to cakes, so save room or take some sweets to go! The last time I went, I had the triple smoked in-house pastrami sandwich on rye bread with swiss cheese and a side of cole slaw. It was simple but awesome! Oh, it’s also very huge so you can probably split it with a friend or take home leftovers. I highly recommend Kenny & Ziggy’s if you’re new to Houston!
ニューヨークに行ったことがある方ならご存知かもしれませんが、本場ニューヨークのサンドイッチは本当に美味しいです！ここヒューストンにも、そんなNYスタイルのデリがあります。ギャレリア地区にある「Kenny and Ziggy’s（ケニー＆ジギーズ）」です。まず驚くのは、そのメニューの大きさ！物理的にとても大きなメニューで、サンドイッチ、サラダ、プレートランチ、エントリー（メイン料理）などがずらりと並んでいます。店内の奥の壁にはデザートコーナーがあり、自家製クッキーからパイ、ケーキまで揃っていますので、ぜひ別腹を確保しておくか、お持ち帰りをお勧めします！私が前回行ったときは、店内でスモークされたパストラミを使ったライ麦パンのサンドイッチにスイスチーズを合わせ、コールスローを添えていただきました。とてもシンプルながら、絶品でした！しかもサイズがとても大きいので、友達とシェアするか、残った分は持ち帰っても良いと思います。ヒューストン初心者の方には、ぜひ一度訪れていただきたい名店です！
